Meet our 2010 Scholarship winners:

Guitar

Yamaha and Total Guitar Magazine Guitar Scholarship - Vitor Bacalhau

Vitor showed a passion for guitar and his desire to study on the course, having identified specific areas he wanted to improve on. He performed with confidence and showed the audience a variety of styles while engaging with them, particularly impressing with his grooves.

Bass

Music Man and Bass Guitar Magazine Bass Scholarship - Jon Clements

Jon showed technical skill and delivered a clean performance playing some modern, funky bass grooves, good use of harmonics and his slap bass skills. He was a dedicated and charming student who will, no doubt, make amazing use of his place on the course!

Drum

Mapex/Paiste and Drummer Magazine Drums Scholarship - Hannah Marie-Montrose

The ICMP was presented an extremely high standard this year with musicians from broad backgrounds and interesting interpretations of playing drums.  Hannah showed a lot of potential, playing without a backing track and delivering some big grooves with fantastic timing and obvious passion.

Vocal

Metropolis Studios Vocal Scholarship - Roxanne Yarnold

Easily the highest standard we've ever had, the decision was really tough for our vocal scholarships.  Roxanne performed two tracks, the first one was a beautifully delivered, well-pitched and heart-felt a capella performance. She had lovely control and a stunning jazz element to her voice.
