2010 ICMP Scholarships

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 10TH MARCH!

Every year, the ICMP awards over £30,000 worth of music scholarships to talented and deserving students. In partnership with leading industry partners, these awards make a significant and direct contribution to the development of musical talent.  Each instrument is awarded one fully paid and one partially paid place on the ICMP Higher Diploma course.

Meet our 2009 Scholarship winners:

Guitar 

Guitar: James Neye

James' application was a great mix of styles, convering a Tommy Emmanuel acoustic piece, then changing to his strat where he played some really tasteful blues licks and some great jazz progressions, all delievered with a great natural feel for the music.

Bass 

Bass: Jamie Wilkins

Jamie went for a technical demanding piece in the style of the legendary Victor Wooten, displaying good technique and coordination. At the final he proved that he could play solid groove lines too; very versatile and a worthy winner!
Drum 

Drums: Daniel Penalver

Daniel focused on a rock style for his application showing some fantastic double bass drum work with great timing, coordination and technique. His performance showed enough potential for a place in the final and going on to be awarded the scholarship!
Vocal 

Vocals: Elize Kellman

Elize's application had a lovely jazzy element to it, performed with great attitude and superb dynamics which really impressed the judges. Mirroring this for the final, she went on to be awarded the full scholarship for the Higher Diploma.
